About the Hunger Project

The Hunger Project is a non-profit organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. Working in 13 countries in Africa, South Asia, and Latin America, where hunger and poverty are particularly severe, The Hunger Project builds the capacity of rural people to be agents of their own development and empowers them to combat the persistent hunger found in their communities. The Hunger Project trains people to be self-reliant, so they are not only able to meet their basic needs, but are also more resilient in the face of challenges such as environmental destruction and climate change.
